Children's Faith Formation or CFF is our Catholic Faith Classes that are held on Sundays between 9:15 and 10:30 for English Language speakers, and at 11 am for Spanish Language Speakers.
The Church recognizes and honors that Parents and Guardians are the first teachers of the Faith. During a Baptism of an Infant, we hear:
“You have asked to have your child baptized. In doing so you are accepting the responsibility of training him in the practice of the faith. It will be your duty to bring him up to keep God’s commandments as Christ taught us, by loving God and our neighbor. Do you clearly understand the commitment you are undertaking?”
We answer, "I do," and continue to teach our children the Faith of the Church.
Along the way, we have helpers called Catechists who aid us, not replace us, in sharing the teachings of faith.
Our journey in faith is a life long process. Some of are called to futher their formal education, to help tend to the needs of our communities.
The Diocese of Gary offers the Lay Ecclesial Ministry Program for those who are discerning a life of ministry outside of Holy Orders.
